"Advocating for a new generation of Chashah"

Our Leadership Academy is dedicated to empowering Tigrayan youth with essential leadership skills, promoting peace building, and honoring the memory of those affected by conflict. Our dynamic program is designed to cultivate a new generation of leaders who will begin their mission in this program between the ages of 10-15, who will commit to positive social change, all while preserving the history of fallen soldiers from Tigray and honoring Tegaru families.

 

These are the following programs under this mission:

• Leadership - We provide a comprehensive experience that includes leadership training, community service, and personal development. Through interactive sessions, mentorship opportunities, and practical exercises, students enhance their leadership skills in communication, teamwork, decision-making, and project management.
   

• Community Service - We believe in the power of meaningful service projects to make a positive impact and foster social responsibility. Our participants engage in these projects to contribute to preserving the history of fallen soldiers from Tigray and honoring Tigrayan families.
   

• Peace Education - Emphasizing conflict resolution, empathy, and dialogue, we instill values that promote peaceful coexistence and social harmony. Our commitment to peace education aligns with our mission to honor the memory of those affected by conflicts like the one in Tigray.
   

• Culture Awareness - Exploring heritage, history, and traditions, we aim to develop a strong sense of identity and belonging within our communities. This cultural awareness plays a significant role in our efforts to preserve the history of fallen soldiers from Tigray and honor Tigrayan families.
   

• Elements of Military - Drawing inspiration from programs like Junior ROTC, we incorporate elements of military discipline to instill values of respect, responsibility, and self-discipline among our participants. This approach includes structured routines, physical fitness activities, codes of conduct, and character development.

By participating in the VIB5 Leadership Academy, youth have the opportunity to engage in ceremonies to honor Tigrayan families and contribute to the preservation of the history of fallen soldiers from Tigray.
